My Thoughts on The Army Painter Brand Warpaints After 2.5 Years
Jun 30, 2020 · These come in 17 ml dropper bottles so you're paying $2.99 per actual paint or $0.18 per ml. A great deal but still doesn't come close to the price of Army Painter. Individual bottles of Army Painter at my local store cost $3.00 and Citadel cost $4.55 so even then I'm saving $1.50 and getting 33% more paint.

I’ve had some army painter brushes crap out on my but my absolute favourite brush is an army painter “d&d starter brush” i got in a set with the first 10 paints I bought. It still has an amazing tip and I’m so used to using it I almost never switch brushes anymore. I do everything from basecoating to eye pupils with it.

Army painter speed paint 2.0 is a good "one coat" line, with top tier metallics. Army painter warpaints (the thing before "fanatic") are just bad. Like they'll really frustrate you and make you think you're the problem if you don't have an actually good paint to compare.

Used to citadel paints drying within a minute or so, fanatics seem to take 5 or so minutes to fully dry. This might just be me, but when I paint over them before the 5 minutes, but after the first 1-2 minutes, I might accidentally remove the old layer of paint. they come out of an airbrush like a charm, very smooth.

Apr 22, 2020 · Personally I use the Army Painter Grey Brush On Primer for most of my quick one-off fun-paint models like this handsome brain here because I also hate setting up outside to spray paint for just one model. In my experience they’re good on plastic and resin but not so good on metal. I got it at home but not too convinced of it.

Jun 7, 2022 · LASTLY! If you're looking to use the speedy paints, I wouldn't recommend Speed Paints or anything that Army Painter makes. Their products are of a cheaper quality in general and come with a few issues when it comes to paint breaking, pigmentation, and coverage.
