Maltby by GolfWorks: Any Experience With These Clubs?
May 1, 2019 · If a 5 iron is made of steel and weighs around 256 grams it’s a 5 iron. Weather you like the design is subjective. The big OEM companies just assemble components in a mass production facility using commercial grade shafts designed for them. I would say a set of good shafts and grips from Golfworks are equal or superior to factory clubs.

Apr 29, 2010 · The same book used in the tour vans. I believe the fitters at GG are trained in the Maltby manner of dynamic fitting. There is no online tool, other than one that gives you a rough idea of which shafts to look at. I got fitted at Golfworks last year and now my entire bag (head wise) is comprised of Maltby products, and so is my kids and my wifes.

Feb 3, 2022 · The Maltby M890 shaft is a good choice for slower swing speeds and is only $18. The STi2 with the MPF shaft is available at a ridiculous low price but the MPF generally plays a bit stiff to flex. The Graphite Design GTech is also a good choice as is the Kuro Kage.

At least through the eighties, Ralph Maltby's GolfWorks made beautiful, made-to-order persimmon and laminated maple woods.... everybody remembers persimmon but nobody mentions laminated maple any more--. that were cosmetically prettier than many of the major OEM offerings.

The C-Taper Lites were 1.5" long pulls I got on eBay for $140 and cut down once installed, and KBS sent me new shaft labels for free. Grips are Star Sidewinders purchased in a Buy 9, Get 5 deal from Golfworks for ~$4/each, or $32 for the set. Ferrules from eBay for $1/each.

There probably are other ways to mount, but bolting down will prove the most stability. Seriously, this thing is life changing for golf club building work, i am not joking.
