A massive fire destroyed the Full Throttle Saloon on September 8, 2015. Ballard later stated that the fire started when a pinched power cord to a keg refrigerator overheated and ignited a nearby cardboard box.

It was a dramatic scene at the Full Throttle back in September of 2015, when an early morning fire broke out, destroying what they billed as the world’s largest biker bar. After an intensive investigation, the cause of the fire was ruled a faulty electrical cord on one of the bar’s coolers.

Although Viewers were overjoyed when Michael Ballard announced that he was going to be a father in season 5, ‘Full Throttle Saloon’ ended on a tragic note as the saloon was burnt to the ground by a massive fire in September 2015.

In September 2015, a large fire destroyed the original Full Throttle Saloon. Ballard, his wife Angie and musician and tv personality Jesse James Dupree rebuilt the Full Throttle in a new location. The new Full Throttle Saloon sits on 600 acres in Vale, near Bear Butte, on what used to be the Broken Spoke Campground.
