The original Xbox one only has an HDMI 1.4 port and it's highly likely the Microsoft supplied HDMI for the original Xbox One is bandwidth limited to the HDMI 1.4 port. This means 30Hz at 4K and you can pretty much forget about HDR.

If the light on the power supply block is orange not blue/white unplug from the wall and wait for the light to die and plug back in.
